Angela Zaragoza Alfaro, age 78, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at St. Clair Hospital.

Born in Managua, Nicaragua on October 12, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Atanacio and Maria De Los Angeles Alfaro Vanegas.

Angela was a devout Seven Day Adventist who passionately read the Bible daily and was proud to have read it cover to cover several times in her life. She loved sewing and spending time with her family and will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 11 siblings.

Surviving to cherish her memory is her son, Nelson A. "Tony" Alfaro of Pittsburgh, two grandsons, Benjamin (Ellie Ives) Alfaro of Pittsburgh, and Ethan Alfaro of Salt Lake City, Utah; five siblings, Rita Rocha, Mercedes Alfaro, Gertrudiz Rocha, Francisco Rocha, and Beatriz Rocha; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering at the ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, (724) 379-6900 from 3 to 4:30 PM on Sunday, MArch 29, 2026. Inurnment will take place at the Alfaro Family Columbarium at a later date in Nicaragua.
