Angelyn L Smith, age 89, of Monessen formerly of Cranberry Twp.., PA, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Havencrest Nursing Center in Carroll Twp.., PA.

She was born on July 7, 1925 in Donora, PA the daughter of the late Christino and Adelaide (Ciampaglia) Amicucci.


She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Church in Donora.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years John "Jack" T. Smith; and two brothers, Joseph and Albert Amicucci.

Survivors include three sisters, Ida Panseri of Monongahela, Erma Zema of Belle Vernon and Eunice Gandley of Philadelphia; two brothers, Ermundo Amicucci of Donora and Christino (Barbara) Amicucci Jr. of Sacramento, CA; also several nieces and nephews; along with the Chakan Family of Cranberry Twp.. who were very special to her as she baby sat their children for many years and considered them like her own family.

Angelyn's family would like to thank the owner's and staff of the Hallsworth House for the loving and compassionate care they gave her over the last three years.

Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Valley Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Fr. Pierre M Falkenhan as celebrant.

Entombment in Pinewood Memorial Gardens, Cranberry Twp.. will be private and at the convenience of the family
