Robert 'Bob' Murdock, age 76, of Monessen, PA, our loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital in Carroll Twp., PA.

He was born October 3, 1946 in N. Charleroi, PA, the son of the late Frederick Murdock and the late Clara (Sabo) Murdock.
A lifelong resident of the Mon Valley, He was a member of the St. Michael Byzantine Rite Catholic Church in Donora, PA and the Knights of Columbus.
Bob was a US Army and National Guard veteran who served during the Viet Nam conflict and retired from the Monessen US Post Office.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia McGuire; and a brother, Frederick Murdock.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Shirley Kovalak Murdock; a daughter, Suzanne (Robert) Tekavec of Elizabeth Twp.; two sons, Robert M. Murdock of FL and Matthew (Suzanne) Murdock of NH; four grandchildren, Frank, Kara, Isabelle and Evan; brother Jim (Nancy) Murdock of CA; Sister-in-law, Ruth Murdock; and brother-in-law John McGuire.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900 where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, August 6, 2023. Funeral prayers will be recited in the funeral home 10:30 AM on Monday August 7, 2023 followed by a 11:00 AM Funeral Liturgy in St. Michael Byzantine Rite Catholic Church Donora, PA with, Rev. Fr. Stephen Wahal officiating.
Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora, PA
