Obituary

Catherine (Kay) Shulock, age 89, of Manchester, NH, formerly of Donora, died peacefully at home on Friday, October 23, in the arms of her sons Nick and David.
She was a member of the St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Donora.
Kay was born in Smock, Pa the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Procratsky) Franczek, and her family moved to Footedale, Pa., soon after. She attended German Township High School where she was an A student and a drum majorette. Kay was a devoted daughter. She left high school at the age of 15 to help her mother, who was of poor health, care for her many other children. She also cared for both her parents in their old age. For 68 years, Kay was wife to her one and only love, Nick Shulock, with whom she had seven children. Before becoming a full-time wife and mother, Kay worked as a domestic and as a quality assurance manager for the American Hammered Piston Company (Koppers Co.). She enjoyed volunteering at Saint Vincent de Paul, bowling, bocce ball, sewing, crochet, furniture refinishing, and upholstering. She hoped God would allow her to work in His nursery in Heaven because, more than anything, Kay enjoyed caring for babies and young children. She and her husband Nick are now together, never more to part.
In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her husband Nick; three sisters, Alice Livingston, Mary Yatsko and Anna Fraczek; and two brothers Joseph and James Franczek.
Survivors include three daughters, Cathy Necciai of MD, Mary Trotta of Webster, and Patricia (Scott) Tozzi of Pittsburgh; four sons, Robert (Barb) Shulock of WA, Nick Shulock of VT, David Shulock of NH and Donald (Adele) Shulock of Donora; two sisters, Rosie (Ronald) Zimcosky and Barbara (Daniel) Single; four brothers, Stanley Franczek, John (Dorothy) Fronczek, Raymond Fronczek and Frank (Roseanne) Fraczek; grandchildren, Damien (Laurie) Shulock, Luke (Dana) Shulock, Adrian Shulock (Suzanne Gray), Katherine Shulock, Timothy Necciai, Nick Necciai, Katrina Necciai, Tanya Trotta, Zachary Shulock, Angelica Tozzi, and Anthony Tozzi; great grandchildren, Danika, Nicolas, Evan, Lila, and Halling Shulock; also many nieces and nephews.
