Charles Edmund Schumacher, age 83, of Stevensville, MD, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024, at The Barnette Center in Centreville, MD.

He was born May 27, 1940 the son of the late Edmund Schumacher and the late Helene (Lena) Blotzer Schumacher.

In addition to his parents Charles was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn (Bryant) Schumacher; two sisters, Barbara Barch and Margaret Lazzari;brother, Philip Barch; and a nephew, Philip Barch.

Surviving to cherish his memory, a daughter, Deneen (Tom) Calabrese of Bridgeville; two sons, Charles (Lani) Schumacher of Denton, MD and Andrew (Jennifer) Schumacher of Stevensville, MD; and six grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900 where friends will be received on Friday April 12, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Saturday April 13, 2024 at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew the Apostle Parish Donora Campus.

Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela, PA
