Obituary

Edward T. Seeley, Jr., 81 of Carroll Township, was called home to the Lord's Kingdom on Tuesday, August 24, 2021.

Born in Dormont on February 19, 1940, son of the late Edward T. Seeley, Sr. and the late Mabel Virginia "Ginny" Claypool Seeley.

Ed was an accomplished drummer in a jazz band for many years that always closed every set with the standard, "When the Saints Go Marching In." A veteran, Mr. Seeley served with the Air National Guard as an Air Evacuation Medical Technician. He served as an elder of the Dormont Presbyterian Church. He was an avid reader, especially of mysteries.

Mr. Seeley was a Pittsburgh Steelers season ticket holder for decades. His first date with his wife was to a Pittsburgh Steelers game in 1976.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter in-law, Karen Seeley; and his two beloved canine companions, Wolfgang and Luger.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Sandra (Warholic) Seeley; two sons, Mark E. Seeley, and Erik T. Seeley (fiance, Ashlee Enriquez); daughter, Jessica L. Dempe (Brandon); two granddaughters, Aislynn Fitzgerald and Eliza Dempe; a sister, Elizabeth; and beloved German Shepherd, Zeus.

As Satchmo would put it, "Ed's now in that number, when the Saints go marching in."
