Eugene A Lazzari, 83 of Donora, PA passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Monongahela Valley Hospital in Carroll Twp.,with his loving family at his side.

He was born Tuesday, October 28, 1930 in Belle Vernon, PA the son of the late Alfred and Clara (Tintori) Lazzari.

Gene was a graduate of Belle Vernon High School class of 1948. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the US Army from 1952 to 1954.
He was a mechanic employed by the Bethlehem 84 Mining Company and a member of UMWA 1197.

Gene was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. He also belonged to the Holy Name Society and the St. Vincent DePaul Society. He was an avid Hunter and Fisherman.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Betty Lazzari on Nov. 9, 2007; two infant children, Michael and Margaret; a sister, Janet Skekel; and a brother Jordan Lazzari.

Left to cherish his memory are son Anthony Lazzari; daughters, Stephanie Harbaugh, Mary (Randy) Winklebleck, Claire Lazzari and Beth (Tom) Lutz; Grandchildren, Monica (Lorenzo) Gardner, R.T. (Brea) Lowe, Jeremy (Erin) Lazzari, Joshua (Kate) Lazzari, Joe Lazzari, Ryan, Haley and Shannon Lutz; Great Grand children Lorenzo Gardner Jr. and Kyleigh Lowe; a sister, Norma Parente; and a brother, Rio (Jean) Lazzari.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2014, and from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday March 2, 2014 at the Anthony L. Prayers will be recited on Monday at 11:30 AM in the funeral home followed by a 12:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Valley Church located at 1 Park Manor Road and Second Street Extension Donora, PA 15033 with the Rev. Fr. Pierre M Falkenhan as celebrant.

Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela, PA.
