It is with great sadness that the family of Frank Nelson Yates, Jr., age 68, of Monessen, announces his sudden passing on Sunday, August 16, 2026.

Frank was a lifelong resident of Monessen and Christian by faith. He was a kind and caring son, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching baseball and other sports, playing guitar, and helping others.

Surviving to cherish his memory is his father, Nelson Yates of Monessen; two sisters, Freda (John) Abbott and Cindy Soles; three brothers, John, Mark (Brandy), and Wayne Yates; nieces and nephews, Scott, Marisa, Isaac, Ava, Sarah, Marlena, Dom, Trustin, Tessa, Bobby, and Gianna.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma (Russo) Yates and a niece, Janell Abbott.

Brother, now you're free to rest, your memory lies forever blessed. In every heart, your spirit stays, a legacy time can't erase.

Private visitation and services took place at the request of the family, followed by entombment at Mon Valley Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Christian Center Church, 130 Charity Lane N, Belle Vernon, PA 15012.
