Gloria Jean Piktel, age 74, of Donora, PA, died Saturday, May 4, 2024, at her home.
She was born June 9,1949 in Charleroi the daughter of the late Louis Hixson and the late Georgina (Prentice) Hixson.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church Charleroi.

Gloria worked at Corning for 30 plus years as well as being the store manager of the Corning Revere Factory Store. She was a member of the Polish Falcons Nest 247 of Donora, the French Club of Charleroi, the Slavic Club in North Charleroi, the Ukrainian Club of Monessen,and the Eagles in Monessen.

In addition to her parents Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Piktel Jr. on November 25, 2002.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children Joseph L. (Teri) Piktel of Williamsport, PA and Rachel L. Roberts (Kris Williams) of Donora; her companion of 18 years David Whitehead; Grandchildren, Gabriel and Joseph (JJ) Piktel of Williamsport and Payton and Dominik Roberts of Monongahela.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900 where friends will be received on Wednesday May 8, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM.

Interment will follow at Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela, PA
