Helen Jakela's Obituary
Helen D Jakela, age 90, of Donora, PA, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at McMurray Hills Manor in McMurray, PA.
She was born August 23, 1932 in New Jersey, the daughter of the late Max Gelzon and the late Anna Riech Gelzon.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Jakela; a son, Anthony Donato; a daughter Anna Kyle; and a brother Carl Gelzon.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Margaret Ohm of Wisconsin; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, William Gelzon; and a brother-in-law Frank (Faustina) Jakela.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish Donora Campus at 10:00 AM, Monday, October 10, 2022. Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora, PA
