Joan O. Hesse Billie age 85, of Donora, went peacefully home to her Lord, surrounded by loving family on Friday, March 27, 2015, at the home of her daughter in Orient, OH following a two and a half year battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born November 29, 1929 in Pittsburgh the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Olive L. (Riening) Simoni.

Joan was a member of the United Methodist Church of Monessen. She was a gentle and devoted mother and grandmother, a loving sister and friend and was known as Moo Moo to all.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband John (Jack) Hesse; second husband John Billie; a brother-in-law Paul Collins, and sister-in-law Antoinette Simoni.

Survivors include her children, Lynn A. (Stanley) Smith, John H. (Michelle) Hesse Jr., Barbara G. (James) Brandemarte and Wendy M. (Charles) Ossler; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two sisters, Jacqueline E. (Paul) Collins and Judi L. (Mike) Vrable; a brother, Joseph (Toni) Simoni; a special friend Joe; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Arrangements are being handled by Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900 www,massafrafuneralhome.com where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 1, 2015, with Pastor Kenneth Jones officiating.

Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora, PA
