Joe Bartina's Obituary
Joe R. Bartina, age 94, of Charleroi, PA, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital in Monongahela, PA.
He was born April 11, 1930 in Donora the son of the late Nick Bartina and the late Frances Urbanic Bartina.
In addition to his parents Joe was preceded in death by his wife Jennie in 1996; two sisters Mary Volkavich and Ann Houseman; and three brothers Nick Bartina, Frank Bartina and John Bartina.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his dear friends Joe Grodz his wife Danielle and their children Ally and Ian, Lisa Reed and Pam Smith.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900 where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Tuesday, February 25, 2025 followed by a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 7:30 PM. Interment and full military rites will be held in Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela, PA on Wednesday February 26, 2025 at 1:00 PM. Any family and friends wishing to attend are asked to arrive at the Chapel in Monongahela Cemetery by 12:45 PM.
