John Bartina, age 88, of Donora, PA, died Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Monongahela Valley Hospital in Carroll Twp.

He was born July 6, 1932 in Donora the son of the late Nick and Frances (Verbanich) Bartina.

He was a member of the St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, and a veteran serving with the U.S. Army in the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Volkavich and Ann Houseman; and two brothers, Nick Bartina and Frank Bartina.

Survivors include his brother, Joseph Bartina of Charleroi; and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900 where the family will receive friends on Saturday January 2, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Funeral services will begin at 12 Noon in the funeral home.

Interment will follow at St. Dominic Cemetery, Donora, PA

To be socially responsible during this time of the Covid-19 pandemic, we will continue to limit the attendance to 25 people inside the funeral home at any given time. Guests are asked to obey social distancing guidelines and personal protection guidelines which include masks within the funeral home.
