Lugene Bedner, 68, of Jacobs Creek, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Born in Monessen, on July 8, 1957, Lugene was the daughter of the late William and Dolores Welsh. Lugene was Lutheran by faith and enjoyed cooking, gardening, tending to her flower garden and spending time with her numerous basset hounds, whom she loved with all her heart. She made friends wherever she went, her outgoing personality and care for others will be missed by many. Lugene was a loving mother and grandmother. Surviving to cherish Lugene's memory are her four sons, Michael (Tiffany) Bender, Thomas (Natasha) Bedner, William (Kami) Bender and Christopher Bedner; her grandson, William "Bug" Bender; her sister, Doris Ann Welsh Ciepiela (Keith) Ciepiela; her brother, Daniel Welsh; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lugene was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Thomas Bedner. Arrangements have been entrusted to ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900, where the family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026, at which time services will begin at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
