Margaret Penak's Obituary
Margaret Penak, age 94, of Donora, PA, died Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Hallsworth House in Monessen, PA.
She was born in Donora on December 26, 1921 the daughter of John and Mary (Metenko) Penak.
She was a devoted member of the Our Lady of the Valley Church, the Christian Mothers and Ladies Guild and the Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary. She enjoyed reciting the rosary and attending daily mass.
Margaret was employed by Corning Glass in Charleroi until her retirement.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Irene Carly, Helen Penak and Ann Schmidt; and three brothers, Joseph, John and Albert Penak.
Survivors include her sister Pauline Kopas of Farrell, Pa; and many nieces, nephews and cousins
Arrangements are being handled by Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900 www.massafrafuneralhome.com where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 2, 2016. Prayers will be recited in the funeral at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Valley Church, Donora, PA with Rev. Fr. James Bump as celebrant .
Interment will be at St. Dominic Cemetery, Donora, PA
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Our Lady of the Valley Church.
