Marie Mrochek's Obituary
Marie Mrochek, 97 of Donora, PA died on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at Monongahela Valley Hospital in Carroll Twp.
She was born Sunday, March 11, 1917 in Donora, PA the daughter of the late Paul and Magdalena (Czyzowicz) Pykosh.
Marie was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Church in Donora and the Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary.
She was a graduate of Donora High School Class of 1935.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Mrochek in 2001; two sisters, Angela Kozlowski and Genevieve Litsky; and three brothers, Stanley, John and William Pykosh.
Surviving are daughter, Paula Bagay and her husband Ed of Donora, PA; a garnddaughter, Sarah Bagay; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 5, 2014, at Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900 www.massafrafuneralhome.com where prayers will be recited on Saturday September 6, 2014 at 9:30 AM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday at Our Lady of the Valley Church located at 1 Park Manor Road and Second Street Extension Donora, PA 15033 with the Rev. Fr. Pierre M Falkenhan as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Dominic Cemetery, Donora, PA.
