Marie Scrip, age 93, of Carroll Twp., PA, died Monday, December 7, 2015, at the Residence at Hilltop.

She was born in Donora on July 21, 1922 the daughter of the late Michael and Anastasia (Stanchak) Bill.

She was a life long member of the St. Michael Byzantine Rite Catholic Church in Donora, the Donora Historical Society and the Greek Catholic Union.

She attended the Donora Schools and was a graduate of Donora High School Class of 1940.

Marie was employed in the Billing and Invoice Department of the former American Steel and Wire Co. a subsidiary of USX.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in by her husband, Harry Scrip; a sister Anne; and three brothers, Charles, John and Frank.

Survivors include two daughters, Eileen (Frank) Chiprich oc Carroll Twp. and Patricia (Darryl) Brletich of Carroll Twp.; five grandchildren, Erik (Kendra) Chiprich, Melissa Ann (Aaron) Mares, Lee (Sabrina) Brletich, Taylor (Josh) Imbrogno and Danielle Brletich; six great grandchildren, Branka Chiprich, Vid Maxim Mares, Savannah Brletich, Veronica Chiprich, Coleson Brletich and Ana Mares; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900 www.massafrafuneralhome.com where the family will receive friends from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM, Friday, December 11, 2015. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Liturgy at St. Michael Byzantine Rite Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Fr. Stephen Wahal officiating.

Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora, PA

Marie's family would like to thank the staff of the Residence at Hilltop for the kindness and compassion they extended to their mother during the past few years.
