Mary Rose Hemmings, age 82, of Donora, PA, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital in Monongahela, PA.

She was born May 31, 1943 in Donora, PA the daughter of the late Thomas Iaquinta and the late Julia Sarkus Iaquinta.

She was a member of the St. Andrew the Apostle Parish.

In addition to her parents Mary Rose was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years George "Hambone" Hemmings; a grandson Jacob Hudak; a sister Ruth Iaquinta; and a brother Thomas Iaquinta.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Cynthia (Dan) Lowden, John (Bridget) Hemmings, Diane Hemmings and George (Gina) Hemmings; seven grandchildren, Tara (Tim), Julie (Alan), Erin (Don), Ashley, Jesse (Lauren) Natasha (Brett) and Elizabeth (Bryan); twelve Great Grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900 where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, June 27, 2025.
Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Saturday June 28, 2025 at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Andrew the Apostle Parish Donora Campus at 10:00 AM.

Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela, PA
