Richard Hunt's Obituary
Richard D. Hunt, 92 of Monongahela, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026.
He was born on November 26, 1933, a son of the late Harry Hunt, Jr. and the late Martha (Henry) Hunt.
He served in the U.S. Army and the Army Reserves. Richard worked as a mechanic at Vizza Motors in Belle Vernon. He loved riding his bike after he retired.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna L. Sellman Hunt in 1997; a sister, Geraldine Chopyak; and a brother, Donald Hunt.
Richard is survived by his three sons, Blane Hunt (Lin), Zachary Hunt (Eileen), and Jed Hunt (Louann); granddaughter, Heather Dillon (Adam), two great-grandsons, Preston and Camden Dillon; and a brother, Ronald Hunt.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second Street Ext., Carroll Township/Donora, PA 15033, (724) 379-6900, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
A service will take place in the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 with Pastor Matt Ledford officiating. Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora with full military honors accorded by the Mon Valley Honor Guard and Firing Squad.
