Rose Evangelist, age 95, of Donora, PA, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024 in West Newton, PA with her loving family by her side.

She was born on June 16, 1929 in Donora the daughter of the late Marco Capone and the late Ersilia Capriotti Capone.

She was a member of the St. Andrew the Apostle Parish.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Frank Evangelist; her sister Mary Tokach; and her brother Paul Capone.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters, Marian Evangelist, of Monessen, Diane (David) Belack of Upper St. Clair, and Christine (Robert) Bigi of West Newton; sons, Francis Evangelist of CA and John (Jan) Evangelist of MD; Grandchildren, Ben Evangelist, Jacob Evangelist, Regina Evangelist, Andrew Belack, Christopher Belack, Francesca Belack, and Natalie Bigi; neighbor and dear friend Carole Seader; dear friend Joanne Mathianas; and several nieces and nephews. Rose's greatest joy in life was her family - she loved them all very much.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724)379-6900 where the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, December 29, 2024. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Monday December 30, 2024 at 10:00 AM followed by a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian burial in St. Andrew the Apostle Parish Donora Campus.

Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela, PA
