Velia (Perfetto) Generie, age 89, of Donora, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in Transitions Healthcare, North Huntingdon, PA. Velia was born on February 28, 1927 in Donora, the daughter of the late Maria (Leone) and Giuseppe Perfetto. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph F Generie, and two brothers Mario and Anthony Perfetto. Velia is survived by her children Julie (Brian) Dannemiller, Joseph (Christina) Generie, and Mariann (Andrew) Capets. She is also survived by her grandchildren Emily, Joseph, Joshua, Jacob, William, and Benjamin.

Arrangements are being handled by Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora, PA 15033 (724) 379-6900 where a private family visitation was held from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 26, 2016. Followed by private funeral services at 10:00 AM with Rev. Fr. Pierre M Falkenhan officiating.

Entombment followed at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora, PA
