William (Bill) Bandalo, 72, of Donora passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 16th, 2014 while camping with the love of his life in the Laurel Mountains near Somerset, PA. A lifelong resident of Donora, he was born in his family home on November 12th, 1941 and was a 1960 graduate of Donora High School. Known to many as Billy, Bebo, Uncle Bill, Buffalo Bill, Mr. B, and Pap Pap, he touched many lives in positive ways through his kindness, compassion, and loving spirit. He was a lifetime volunteer for Campfire Girls and Boys, and Mon Valley Youth and Teen Association. Within these organizations, he will most fondly be remembered as camp director or the man on the mountain at Camp Watakamini teaching lessons about the forest, maintaining the camp totem poles or sharing Spooky Andy stories. His proudest accomplishment was his family. Whether attending his daughters' college graduations or weddings, his grandson's football games, his older granddaughter's basketball games or his littlest granddaughter's swimming lessons, he was a part of the action and filled with joy. He is survived by his bride of 48 years, Mary Anne (Vargo), his daughter Pamela and her husband Jim Toto and children Drake (16) and Piper (12) of Murrysville, PA, and his daughter Courtney and her husband David Hooper and daughter, London (5) of Austin, TX. Additionally, he is survived by a brother George Bandalo of Monongahela and many real and "adopted" brothers, sisters, daughters, sons, nieces and nephews too numerous to list. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, October 21st from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm at the Anthony L.
